Press Release
Colley Gate Gardening Club held its annual show on Saturday 16th September it attracted a total of 41 exhibitors and had over 370 exhibits entered which is a fantastic achievement given the difficult growing conditions this year. Exhibitors travelled from all over the Midlands to enter the show and they ranged in age from 10 years old to over 70 years old. For a number of years the club has had a children's section and this continues to attract some wonderful exhibits. The show includes the West Midlands Heaviest Onion competition which is sponsored by Ashwoods and this was won by the Gardening Club chairman Mick Poultney. The Best exhibit in the show was won by Geoff Bradley for his vase of 5 incurved chrysanthemums.
