The March meeting took place last week and we had a very informative talk about growing Gladioli from Nigel Coe, who had traveled from Ashbourne in Derbyshire.

He donated a few special Corms for show Gladioli which were auctioned off and raised money for the club funds, we also had a number of other Gladioli Corms for sale which had been sent up by Rob from his nursery in South Wales.

The Daffodil competition was won by John Hare and second place went to Jonathan Hollis. We had more entries than we expected and this was very encouraging for the committee and it is something that we are keen to continue.
