May Meeting

The speaker for the May meeting was John Beddington who travelled all the way from Cheshire to give us the talk. He was assisted by his wife Coral. The talk was entitled Cabbages and Cauliflowers and it was a talk he had put together for one of Medwyn Williams NVS meetings. Although John has a reputation for growing giant vegetables and show vegetables and the talk contained a number of tips for growing for show. As he said at the start of the talk there was a great deal of useful information for the person who was growing for the table.

Unlike a number of speakers who do their talk and then leave, John and Coral stayed behind after the talk and chatted with members of the club.
