Roger did not disappoint us with his talk last night on pests in/on vegetables. His knowledge of insects both pest and beneficial he was happy to share. This was backed up by some excellent macro images of the pests that he was describing. He certainly did not spare any of the gory details of life in the insect world. The audience was not left in any doubt of the problems with using commercially avaiable sprays to combact insect pests and the indiscriminate way in which they will kill all the insect life in the garden.
