Despite a number of members being on holiday, we still had over 50 members attend the August meeting last night. Which is an incredible achievement for a small West Midlands gardening club. Our speaker Ian McDermott provided an informative and at times Hilarious talk on the law surrounding trees.
It is clear after listening to Ian for a few minutes that he has an enormus knowledge on the subject of trees, this combined with his natural ability as an engaging speaker menat that the evening fled by. We will be looking to invite Ian back again in the near future to provide one of his other talks on Trees.
He will certainly ensure the room is packed out!
If you did not get a copy of the handout that Ian brought with him, he was not expecting so many people to be at the meeting, then there is a copy on the website. You will need to signup as a member (no fee and it is secure nobody can see the password you use- not even me- it may take a day or two to be accepted), you can then access the Meeting Notes Tab under the Members Tab on the main menu. There you will find a copy of the notes.
