This coming Thursday 7th May we have Dave Thornton speaking on Fertilisers for the Kitchen Garden, I heard this talk last year and learned a great deal about how to use fertilisers. Not only to improve plant growth but also to prevent disease. For example he explained how to prevent blossom end rot in tomatoes and the fact that it was not due to poor watering.
Dave looks at the science of how the fertilisers work but in his talks he explains what you need to do without you needing to fully understand the science.
If you want to get the most from your kitchen garden or allotment then make sure you come to the talk.
