Unfortunately our planned speaker for the July was unable to attend.
Luckily the Club Chairman Mick was able to step in and provide his talk on fruit for the club. This proved to be interesting for the members particularly for the newer members since it was very much a beginners guide to growing fruit.
It was based on Mick's practical experience on growing a range of fruit on his allotment plot and covered a range of toopics such as planting, dealing with pests and pruning. It covered both soft fruit and fruit trees.
Attendance for the meeting was a little lower than recent months but there were still over 50 people attending the meeting.
